The company's roots go back to1969 when Nobby
Yamamoto began creating and maintaining luscious manicured gardens in the Japanese tradition. In 1985 he began training his son-in-law , Roy Fisher, who created a new company.
Wild West Gardens is rooted in the philosophy of excellent customer service, innovative solutions and attention to detail.
Roy Fisher is the fifth person in B.C. to achieve
Certified Landscape Professional designation.
Wild West Gardens employees are supported
to also seek certification and most are either
apprenticing or seeking certification currently.
It is recommended that clients ask a company
they are considering to do their landscaping
whether they are certified to assure professional
quality and knowledge.
Wild West also has a garden designer on staff with
certification from UBC's Garden Design Program
and experience in colour consultations for the home. For more information, visit
